Frequently Asked Questions

Why are there no order buttons?

Concho Cameras is basically a one-man operation. I deal mostly in used items which tend to be unique or one-of-a-kind. It is hard to create standard terms and prices for unique items so we prefer a conversational approach to selling. Think of our shop like nearly any other second-hand store. Come in, feel free to browse, and, if something interests you, just ask. You will get a polite, friendly response with a minimum of sales hype, I promise!

Who are you?

My name is Lynn. Despite the name, I'm a guy! I'm a native Texan and one of the first wave of boomers. Our crowd has just about run the course but the Internet has given some of us an opportunity to wring a few more years of usefulness out of the life cycle. I'm thankful for that.

Where do you get the cameras you sell?

Anywhere I can find them. Many of the cameras I have for sale come from eBay and other on-line venues. I also by from dealers and pawn shops. I don't have an affiliation with any manufacturer nor do I knowingly deal in so-called 'refurbished' cameras.

What about grading? Do you really get that many nice cameras?

Unfortunately no. Sellers, especially on eBay, tend to overstate the condition of the camera they are selling. I get a lot of dogs but I return them or sell them in wholesale lots for parts. I don't sell them here.

Do you fix cameras?

I might replace an exterior knob or door but generally, no.
